We started by creating a list of boy bands from various sources (1,2,3,4,5). We then reduced the list to bands after 1980 who had a Billboard Top 100 hit with a music video available. Illustration + animation by Malik Yusuf. Design + development by Russell Samora, Amber Thomas. Data collection made possible by dozens of awesome volunteers listed below.
