A Journey Through Infertility

Thank you to my village. Thank you to my husband and family who’ve held me during each failed cycle.
Thank you to the nurses, clinical writers, receptionists and the doctors at Generation Next Fertility, the clinic I found after some terrible experiences elsewhere. I didn’t catch the names of every nurse or staffer there, but would like to give a shoutout to Abigail, Kendall, Yamika, Abigail, Jennifer, Sophia, Alex, Elizabeth and Joana. Thank you to my OBGYN Dr. Lindsay Lauren Goodman, for letting me play Bad Bunny in the lead up to my endometriosis surgery to feel less scared, and thank you to Ms. Lee, my acupuncturist who’s been so gentle with me throughout.
Thanks to Laura Kradas, my fertility advocate and rock, and to all my friends, Aggi, Giulia, Simone, Atlas, MR, Jon, Tra, Hanna, Rachael, Taylor, Jessie, Sienna, Naina, Naina’s sister Rohini, Naina’s mom Nitu, Julia, Nabiha, Sabrina, Teon, Mazin, Carla, Zahra, and so many more, who through their own journeys, some of them as queer parents, helped me learn how to reframe parenthood and know that love is love, who gave me advice, who sent me care packages, who whisked me away on adventures to distract me, and who firmly believe in my future as a mother, either through birth or through other means.
The idea for parallel paths and the illustration style developed independently, but the team did take inspiration for the isometric world and user experience mechanics from the game Monument Valley once made aware.
